What to see:

There is so much to see in Miami. It is a world of many cultures, with a distinct Latin influence. If you are a fan of latin culture, you have to visit. There are endless latin restaurants including Cuban, Venezuelan, Peruvian, Dominican, and more. There are also different cuisines such as Hatian, American, Jamaican, and Ethiopian. There are great views of the Bay, Miami River, and the Atlantic Ocean from both Miami and Miami Beach. There are also some great shopping centers, boutiques, and unique shops to visit. The city also has plenty of nightlife options.

What to do:

You can walk around any of the distinct neighborhoods of Miami, from Little Havana to South Beach. Take a boat ride on the water. Grab a bite to eat at one of the many delicious restaurants. Go out dancing and learn how to salsa. Play dominos in the park. Visit an art museum. Go to a game at Marlins Park. So much to do!

Who to bring:

We think that this city can be enjoyed by all groups of people. There are family friendly options, romantic and fun ideas for couples, and great options for hanging with a group of friends. This would be a fun city for a bachelor/ette party or spring break trip. It’s also a great place for a weekend getaway. There are endless options and so many ways to enjoy the city.

How to get around:

There is a bus system as well as a free trolley system. However, it is pretty easy to get around with a car. Only negative is that parking costs almost everywhere you want to go. Look for restaurants that comp parking or have their own parking lot that you can use as a base for your day. Most areas are pretty walkable, especially Calle Ocho, Baystreet, and Miami Beach.

What we did:

We loved our relaxing trip to Miami. Our AirBnB was perfect for what we needed. If you want to check it out, click below. We ate many different types of food: Italian, Dominican, Jamaican, French, Cuban, and Spanish. We enjoyed a couple boat trips with Freedom Boat Club Miami. We spent most of our time exploring Calle Ocho and enjoying the environment. Check out our map for some recommendations.
